Toby Hoogs Photography is based in Kailua-Kona, on the Big Island of Hawaii. Toby and his wife Renee specialize in high-end weddings, portraits, and lifestyle photography, all with an emphasis on outdoor settings and the natural beauty of the islands.Toby Hoogs was born and raised in Kailua-Kona. He studied photography in New York City and returned to the islands in 1992 to pursue his passion.Over the last 20 years, Toby has photographed over 1500 weddings. He brings a photojournalistic approach to each project, allowing him to capture events naturally and unobtrusively. His creative skill produces unique and memorable photos tailored to the style of the event.Although based in the islands, Toby regularly shoots weddings on the mainland and has traveled to Australia, Africa, and Central America on assignment.Toby is The Knot 2011 Pick for Best Photographer, Wedding Wire’s Bride’s Choice for 2012, and has been voted the Best Photographer in West Hawaii for six years!
