When we hear of an Engagement Portrait, the image of a couple – sitting posed and still, often under artificial studio lighting conditions – typically comes to mind. But when Toby is your photographer, an Engagement Portrait means no such thing!
True to his relaxed personality, openness to new ideas, and creative sense of adventure, Toby took Mai and Andrew to multiple locations around the Big Island, for a fun, unique and exciting day of shooting!
From lava walking along the Kohala Coast, to eating Shave Ice in the quaint Hawaiian town of Hawi, to hanging out at the scenic Pololu Valley lookout, each new spot offered a rare and beautiful backdrop against which Mai & Andrew could express the romance of their engagement. They even hiked alongside a babbling creek in a hidden forest, and made it to one of Kona’s dreamy white sand beaches just in time for the sunset!
