Shantel and Jacob are high school sweethearts who met in their junior year. Now living and going to college together in Colorado, they came back home to the Big Island, where they are originally from, for their wedding. Their February ceremony at Kahua Ranch was attended by many family and friends. Their ceremony was officiated by Brian Boshard, who is the associate pastor of Hawaii’s oldest Christian church, Mokuaikaua Church. The flowers are one of kind DIY style. The bride’s hair and makeup are by Leanne Yamagata, with music by LT Smooth and his band. Reception catering was by Randy Morris, and cake by Fran Hopper. We loved working with this beautiful young couple and wish them many happy years ahead.
Jennifer Trevino and Aaron Reedy chose the stunning scenery of Hawaii’s Waipio Valley for their wedding. The couple fell in love with the remoteness and beauty of Waipio, and wanted to share it and the region’s ‘old Hawaii’ feel with their guests. The unique Waipio Rim B&B was the venue for the wedding ceremony.
For their reception, Jennifer and Aaron dreamed of one long table in the middle of a yard with family and friends, and Anna Ranch in Waimea proved to be everything they imagined.
The couple wanted to work with local businesses to create the event and chose a variety of vendors from around the island. The wedding was coordinated by Weathered, and officiated by Brian Boshard. Flowers were by Grace Flowers of Honoka’a. The bride’s makeup was by Lilikoi Hair Studio and music was by Lito Arkangel. Catering was by Aloha Mondays, with cake & dessert by Pineapple Bakery and Scandinavian Ice.
This beautiful couple, Libby and Trevor, are residents of the Big Island. We were lucky enough to photograph their engagement session. The engagement session took place on Waiki’i Ranch, nestled between the grasslands of the mountains Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa.
After photographing in the mountains, we concluded the session with a quick trip to Hapuna Beach; a wonderful way to capture the majestic diversity of this beautiful island.
Nearly half a year later, Libby and Trevor tied the knot. The ceremony took place on the Waiki’i Ranch Polo Field. The ceremony began when a cattle trailer arrived, containing the entire wedding party. The gates opened and the wedding process began.
In the background you can see where the groom’s father surprised the couple by grooming the hillside with the couple’s initials. As you can see by the photos, it was an amazing day and we really enjoyed documenting this special occasion.
